Realisation of a comprehensive agro-system with BITZER AGRAR weighing software including grain laboratory automation
Below, you will find the description of a new agricultural system for a company with ship loading at the Neckar (river in South-West Germany), providing a modern, environment-friendly and high-capacity grain reception with 14.000 t storage capacity.
Besides the new costruction of the agro-company with office building, dung storehouse and a machine house with grain reception, grain loading and grain storage, a comprehensive project for logistics control has been realised.
- Automatic sample taking on BITZER truck scale
The company BITZER from Hildesheim has delivered for this project the truck scale as well as two belt weighers and one bulk scale. The different kind of scales have been integrated into a PC network system delivered and realised by BITZER so that the result is a harmonic complete system with a high degree of automation.
The truck scale can be supervised and operated from all in all 5 PC workplaces by means of a supervising camera and the BITZER AGRAR software module “network weighing”. On each monitor the legal for trade weighing indication BITZER Diso-Kom is displayed. This indication replaces the standard weighing indicator so that it represents the replacement of another hardware device by software.

- New construction of a state-of-the-art grain reception station
Furthermore, the BITZER bulk scale (which is positioned in the silo) with a weighing capacity of 600 kg and a performance of up to 180 t/h is integrated into the BITZER AGRAR system. This high-capacity scale can be controlled from the PC workplace in the silo as well as from the weighing PC for reception and loading processes.
Moreover, a legal for trade belt weigher with a performance of 170 t/h has been integrated for the ship loading of grain. Another belt weigher is situated in the dung house and is used for the internal dung storage. Both belt weighers are directly connected to the system and therefore the weight values of the ship loading as well as of the internal dung storage are automatically taken over into the system.
- Compact grain laboratory with BITZER Automatic Sample Analyser
The standardised BITZER AGRAR software allows the connection of different scale types as well as the definite allocation of grain samples to the main delivery and guarantees the complete traceability as per European regulation EU-178-2002 due to the software module “integrated silo administration”. The connection to the grain laboratory (where the quality values of the samples are checked) is realised through our BITZER Automatic Sample Analyser. This new and patented machine determines all relevant qualities in a fully automatic process and leads to considerable savings of time. The quality analysis is finished within 2 minutes after taking the sample. Due to the existing network it is possible for the silo foreman to store grain immediately after the delivery according to its qualities.
