Logistics systems for effective yard management
BITZER logistics systems support an efficient design of logistic processes on the plant site. The overall aim is to optimize throughput times for goods receiving and loading.
By using our logistics system we automate goods movements within a plant or even between several plants. The truck drivers are thus able to weigh themselves without additional personnel and to move around the plant premises in a targeted manner. This is done with the help of self-service terminals at which the drivers identify themselves by means of a chip card, barcode, RFID, QR code or mobile terminal and are guided by intelligent user guidance (also available in several languages).
Modular design - a perfect fit for your operation
The terminal software is based on modern web development. This means that the typical standard procedure can also be easily modified and adapted to your processes and requirements. The same applies to the terminal hardware. This is also modular and can be supplied in various versions with touch monitor, barcode scanner, printer, signature capture, intercom system, traffic lights, etc.
Intelligent interfaces transfer the recorded data in real time to the BITZER software as well as to higher-level merchandise management systems.
By combining the system with a driver guidance system, the truck drivers can quickly find their way around your premises and independently approach the appropriate loading and unloading points without additional instructions.
Extension of opening hours to 24/7 operation
The logistics system enables material deliveries or pick-ups to be made in 24/7 operation, as there is no need for instructed personnel on the factory premises. We integrate the existing weighing technology, such as truck scales, bulk scales, belt weighers, silo scales or platform scales, either directly via network connection or convert the scales to compatible weighing electronics. This creates an integrated logistics system that can be connected to other systems via interfaces.
Our software developers implement both web services and XML interfaces. We can also link our systems with the on-site process control systems. This is done, for example, via Profibus/Profinet connections, but also through contact exchange via the software. In this way, loading equipment and conveyor routes can be automatically controlled by a central system.
Individual software programming allows us to flexibly implement the specific requirements of your company at any time. High availability of both the scales and the software as well as data security have top priority.
License plate recognition for logistics systems
In addition or as an alternative to driver terminals, you can also use our automatic license plate recognition to simplify your weighing processes. A high-resolution camera captures the license plates of incoming trucks, compares them with your pre-planned orders and assigns the license plate to the corresponding process after weighing.
